This is my theory of the film. Oskar will eventually become what the old man was. She uses people to get an advocate, then move on. I think it is a great story about how being immortal destroys your humanity, or makes it so you can manipulate them. It is a great film, and gets the vampire genre right. Vampires are monsters, and they prey on more than the flesh. Vampires aren’t shiny pedophilic faggots with crushes on high school seniors.
